In Nina Solomon’s new novel, The Love Book, Emily Andrews has lived in Manhattan (in the same zip code) since she was five. A divorced mother and aspiring journalist with a knack for attracting the wrong men, she finds herself on “assignment” in Normandy on a singles’ bicycle tour. The Love Book is a story of four unlikely friends who discover a mysterious book about love that guides them (willingly or unwillingly) on a soul mate-seeking journey. As is often the case, the road to love leads them where they least expect.
The Love Book is at once lighthearted romp and thoughtful exploration of the challenges women encounter when their lives do not turn out the way society, their families, and they themselves may have planned.
Nina Solomon’s first novel, Single Wife, was a Book-of-the-Month Club, Literary Guild, and Quality Paperback selection and was optioned by Warner Brothers. The Love Book was inspired by her own search for a soul mate.
Nina Solomon is the author of Single Wife and The Love Book. (January 2015). After receiving her MA in education from
