Labor Day - LitChatAccording to the calendar (and the thermometer) summer is still underway. Here in America, Labor Day puts the period on the end of the sentence that was summer break. Labor Day has another purpose, and that is to commemorate the men and women who labor behind the scenes to provide the goods, services and opportunities we take for granted. The first Monday of each September since the  government established it as a federal holiday in 1894, the U.S. has observed Labor Day. Today we, too, are observing Labor Day and we will have no scheduled #LitChat.

#LitChat will be back next week, September 14 with novelist Leah Ferguson discussing her debut novel, All the Difference. Then on September 21, Jessica Barraco joins us to discuss her memoir, The Butterfly Grove. September closes with critically acclaimed nonfiction author Amy Stewart here to discuss her debut novel Girl With With Gun.

Be sure to watch the #LitChat twitter feed for guest host updates, book reviews and author blogs. See you next week with Leah Ferguson.
