WordCloud2013Click here to enter your three favorite books published in 2013 and you might win a grab bag of books.

The lists are coming. The New York Times published its 100 Notable Books of 2013 last week. Other lists will follow in the remaining weeks of 2013. We’ve read widely this year for #litchat and we have some favorites. We’re hoping you do too. In this week’s MediaMonday, we’re going to discuss our favorite books of 2013 and we hope you’ll join the conversation at 4 p.m. E.T.

Favorite books may not be the critically acclaimed, nor are they necessarily bestsellers. A favorite book flips a switch you didn’t know existed inside you. A favorite book brings you escape, or happiness, or terrifies you, or teaches you something new. A favorite book opens doors to new experiences, takes you to exotic lands, introduces you to people you would never meet in real life. A favorite book is one you would read more than once.

We want to create a LitChat list of your favorite books of 2013. Here’s a form you can use to tell us your favorite books of 2013. Plus, those submitting a form with their three favorite reads of 2013 will be entered in a drawing to win a grab bag of books (U.S. addresses only). We’ll keep the entries open until December 15, 2013 then on December 16, 2013 we’ll compile your choices and reveal the #litchat Favorite Books of 2013 right here.
